TOKYO, JAPAN ― 8 October 2026 ― Okatazuke Salon, founded by Japanese lifestyle and professional organizing consultant Yuri Suzuki, today announced the launch of its new English-language website and a range of services designed to introduce audiences around the world to a distinctly Japanese approach to organizing, mindful living, and creating a more meaningful relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
Okatazuke Salon
Declutter Your Space, Nourish Your Life.
Japanese Wisdom for a Mindful, Beautiful Life.
Founded in 2019, Okatazuke Salon has helped more than 2,000 clients across Japan create homes that are easier to live in, easier to maintain, and more aligned with the lives they want to lead. Yuri Suzuki has also been recognized with the Best of Houzz Service Award for six consecutive years, from 2021 through 2026, and has been featured by NHK and major Japanese newspapers.
More Than Decluttering
At the heart of Okatazuke Salon is a simple idea:
“Declutter Your Space, Nourish Your Life.”
For Suzuki, organizing is not simply about having a tidy home or finding better storage solutions. It is an opportunity to reconsider what we value, how we live, and what we want our everyday surroundings to say about our lives.
“Organizing is never just about a tidy room. It is about creating a better life,” says Suzuki.
The philosophy of Okatazuke Salon draws on Japanese attitudes toward space, care, simplicity, and respect for the things that surround us. Rather than treating decluttering as an exercise in simply getting rid of possessions, Suzuki encourages people to consider what they truly value and how their homes can support greater calm, clarity, and joy.
Bringing Japanese Organizing to the World
The new English-language website makes Suzuki’s philosophy, expertise, and services accessible to an international audience for the first time in a dedicated English platform.
Through the website, visitors can explore:
- Japanese-inspired organizing and lifestyle philosophy
- Online professional organizing consultations available internationally
- In-home organizing services in Tokyo and Saitama
- Practical “Tidy Tips” inspired by Japanese homes and everyday habits
- Articles exploring Japanese approaches to space, organization, and mindful living
- Guest contributions and perspectives on Japanese lifestyle
- Suzuki’s background, professional philosophy, qualifications, and media experience
The website is designed not simply as a resource for people who want a more organized home, but for anyone interested in what Japanese approaches to space and everyday life can teach us about living with greater intention.
From Japanese Homes to an International Audience
Japanese homes have long attracted international interest for their thoughtful use of space, efficient storage, simplicity, and attention to everyday details. Okatazuke Salon looks beyond these visible characteristics to explore the values and habits that lie behind them.
“In Japan, tidying has never been only about storage,” Suzuki explains. “It grows out of respect for the things around you and for the space you live in.”
Through her work, Suzuki hopes to share these ideas with people outside Japan while recognizing that every home, culture, and individual is different.
